We Are Hiring! ~ Moore Memorial Library Director Position
The Moore Memorial Library seeks an energetic and enthusiastic candidate for the position of Library Director. The Moore Memorial Library, serving a population of 5,295, is an Association Library with an annual operating budget of over $300,000, much of which is secured by a tax levy. The Library, built in 1904, is located in the Village of Greene. In 2007, an addition was completed that includes an expanded children/YA space, public access computer center and amphitheater for public events. The Greene Historical Society and museum is housed on the upper floor.
The Library Director is responsible for all aspects of library administration and services, including implementation of library policies; managing operational, staff, equipment, collection, property, and facility needs; maintaining appropriate records; community outreach and public relations; and networking with professional and community leaders. The Director works with the Board of Trustees to recommend and determine strategic direction and policies for the library.
The position is on site and requires a minimum of a 4-year degree from an accredited institution. The ideal candidate has both library and management experience. Salary is $50,000-58,000, depending on experience. Benefits include vacation and sick leave, and 403b.
