Library card holders can download best-selling and classic audiobooks, and eBooks, from the library’s website, www.greenenylibrary.org, anytime, anywhere.

You can browse the collection, check out with your library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. To get started, you will need to install free software. For listening to audiobooks install the OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, you’ll need to install Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, the Nook, and many others. Kindle is not supported. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees! 

With hundreds of popular fiction and non-fiction titles to choose from, the new collection is guaranteed to have something for everyone. You can download best-selling novels, well-known classics, self-improvement guides, and much more.

 This service, powered by Four County Library System and Overdrive, is free with your library card. To get started downloading audiobooks  and eBooks, click on the download zone button to the left of library hours above.

Clicking on any rotating cover will give you more information about a book and the opportunity to place a hold. Be sure to check out the E-Newsletter signup (upper left). We have “Something for Everyone”. You may also sign up to receive an e-mail for items that just arrived at the library. Clicking on New will take you to a list of the newest items at the library, as well as a link to place a hold.
Quick links (lower right) provides access to local Greene information, including the Chenango River level and to the Research Center, which contains all of the library’s electronic databases. Novelist, Morningstar, Automobile Repair Center, Magazine and Health and Wellness databases are just a few of the resources available.
