Kids

Kids who are just learning to read and those who are already independent readers can find collections specifically for their level and interests. The juvenile section of the library offers both fiction and non-fiction Easy Reader books (with a red dot). These books are available for different levels of emergent readers with high-interest content. Our wide variety of picture and chapter books help young readers develop their skills. We have a large collection of chapter books written at different levels for both younger kids and those who have mastered reading. Kids can find n0n-fiction books at different reading levels  The library also offers short books and chapter books on CD.

A librarian would be happy to meet with you to help you select books!

Storytime is held every Tuesday morning at 10:00 for children ages 3-5. We read stories, sing songs, dance, and play games. Younger children are welcome to attend and join in with the older ones.

We have monthly tween events for kids ages 8-12. Click on the calendar to see what classes and events are coming up.
